Hamster, rats and vultures = employees, entrepreneurs, vcs

As i took my kid to the pet store, she was visibly excited by the hamsters on the wheel,it struck me that employees are a little like hamsters - treading the wheel mindlessly. Well-fed with sufficient water and rest. Needs some carrots and sticks.

entrepreneurs are like rats, can eat rat food and survive in rat hole. when route A fails, sniffs and immediately go to route B.
Always go for the big cheese even with the risk of getting snapped by mousetrap.

How to differentiate a hamster from a rat. Offer equity or a salary/title raise. The hamster usually chooses the latter.
